Deepest deepest thanks to everyone who made yesterday one of the best days in my life as far as I can remember.. you guys are incredible.

Got a complimentary-size Neutrogena shower/bath shampoo, couple chocolates, this denim hat from Levi's, and hopefully an interview with this one company.

While I was there, a group of 10-12 protestors came in and sat down right in front of the Philip Morris table, yelling chants and catchy phrases protesting against the tobacco industry. They also brought in this huge 8-ft in diamater, paper-mache globe with people's petitions written on them and plopped it right on top of their table. The two representatives from Philip Morris were so confused of what was going on, and I kinda felt bad for them. I think the protestors won, because those representatives took down their huge Philip Morris banner and left.

Wow, it's never boring in Bezerkely.
Accounting midterm, done and over with. yea!

I was studying late into the night yesterday and it got kinda cold in the apartment. I couldn't resist curling up on the couch with my blankets and studying on my back. With a pen in the right hand and papers with practice problems in my left, I studied pretty productively for about five minutes until I conked out. Five hours later, I awoke to the sound of my cell phone.. it was my faithful mom calling to wake me up so I wouldnt miss my midterm this morning. I had a brief conversation with her, but I truly dont remember anything we talked about. Blasted short-term memory!

I went to the bathroom to wash up, and I see two huge black circles on the bottom half of my shirt. These were definitely ink spots.. it was so drenched with ink that it still smeared on my fingers when I touched them. I must have dropped the pen on my shirt when I fell asleep. Dangit, I am running out of white undershirts. It wasn't too long ago when I forgot I had a dark blue sweater into the white laundry load, which turned most of my white undershirts into a baby blue. But Nancy is a weirdo and wanted my bluish undershirts, so I gave them to her. Hey Nancy, do you want my ink-splattered shirt?

Internship fair today. I wonder what cool free gifts they'll be handing out today.

To the friend who lived three doors down from me during our freshmen year but never bothered to come over and visit, who loves cooking up feasts for people, who doesn't realize how much she'll be missed after this final year of college:

Happy 21st birthday nancy!

Recap of yesterday and today:

1) Night out with the freshies
a) Went bowling with a group of juniors and freshmen at Albany Bowl. Me, Kristy, Jahndee, Jenny, Kwan, Josei, Fred, Amanda, Lori, Pale Abe and Danny. Played two games, freshman class vs. the junior class.. team names respectively called "Gos-bowl (gospel) vs. Bi-bowl (bible)." Such uplifting, Christianly names.. hahah. Junior class got rocked.

b) Afterwards, we went to In-N-Out to eat and chillax. Fred and Jahndee discovered that they have a common bond of crying in korean dramas. Everyone had a great time making fun of Amanda and her semi-permanent jjah-jang-myung stain on her upper lip.

c) Kwan brought over a scary movie, "Jacob's Ladder," over to Kristy's place. Danny fell asleep during the movie, and his sporadic snorts proved to be scarier than the movie itself.

2) Junior class BBQ at Lafayette Park
a) Ate 10+ ounce T-bone steaks and grips of ribs.

b) Pictures from nancy's pbase site.

c) Thanks Nancy and Jahndee for preparing the meat and food!

Went to guitar center afterwards with Kwan, Andy and Esther. Now what? Time to go to Nancy's for dinner and finish off the leftover meat. I love being a carnivore.

Had a great valentine's day. After ficb, about thirty guys went out to play some softball and football at kleeberger field. Nothing like spending "love day" with my fellow brothas. =)

Afterwards, me, Andy, Kwan, Billy, Heuge and freshman Jason went to Durant Square to eat and talk. It's been a while since most of us has eaten there, and it was even more fun reminiscing about our freshman year experiences. Hanging out at Unit 2, surprise birthday parties, Heuge walking twelve miles to Fry's, Andy's dirty roommate, and a lot more.. thank God I have my freshman year experiences written down somewhere. And that I took a lot of pictures too. A lot of these guys are gonna be famous in the future, so ask me if you want some vintage photographs of them when they were younger. =)

You know there's times when your curiosity gets to you, and you type in some random web address to check if it really exists? I remember long ago that I randomly typed in roychung.blogspot.com, and it really existed! But this was one melancholy dood who was very critical towards life and everyone around him. I tricked jahndee, hiyas, and a couple other people into thinking that it was mine, and I think they were really concerned for me afterwards: "oh my gosh, is something wrong?" "why do you sound so angry??" hahah! Sorry, I'm not diagnosed with a bipolar disorder. That was a really funny memory.

isithotorjustme: imma go get haircut at 330

Today, I awoke to the sound of raindrops pelting against the bedroom window. It's been too long since I heard anything so beautiful. Walking in the windy rain was fun. If you looked up at times, you could see bright blue patches of sky admist the clouds while the rain continues to fall. What a great combination of nature's elements. Missing my 9 o'clock lecture and eating a gross lunch was not such a great combination. Neither is peanut butter and jelly.

Download songs by Sara Groves.. a simple voice can be so awe-inspiring.

Heuge brought home a bright yellow couch for $15, and we rearranged the living room. Come over and check it out!
Wow, a lot has happened within the past week. I'll try to dig into my short-term memory and list them now:

1) Children's ministry overnight retreat this past weekend at Mrs. Han's house in danville. Had such a great time! The wonderful wonderful food, Pastor John's edifying messages, re-learning the piano from Carolina, staying up till 6am from playing speed scrabble with Fred, Kristy, Kwansoo, Carolina, Esther and the kids, bowling the next day and getting owned by Kristy's monster score of 147, and Starbucks.

2) All-star game on sunday, which got boring. So me, Paul, Heuge, Julie, and Hannah played 2v2 tennis on the dreamcast for over 2 1/2 hours. By the end, everyone's hands were sweaty from gripping the controllers so tightly. Instant instant gratification because it was so dang fun.

3) Huege's big 21st birthday yesterday. Celebrated at the Outback in pinole, came back and chilled at the apartment with a lot of people. Happy birthday man!

4) Had a good lunch and talk with Hannah at Koko House today. She told me a really funny story about this girl from her small group, who used a real live penguin to use as a bridge in order to get onto this big rock, at which point she lined up a bunch of other penguins and seals around her to give her privacy while she peed. Hannah will give you more details if the story intrigues you, which it should. Their mandoo is really really good.

5) Forecast says that rain is likely by tonight. Fantasmic!

Thanks to the brilliance of my roommate who casually suggested that I should put on the heat sink on the CPU, the computer is finally fixed. The reason why it kept on freezing in the BIOS was due to the CPU being way too hot (260 degrees Fahrenheit) without the heat sink. It didn't occur to all of us that a heat sink would dramatically reduce the temperature by a full 150 degrees, which would allow the CPU to run correctly. But of course, this was just the main problem amongst the culmination of three/four other little problems that killed my computer in the first place.

***Special thanks to:

Allen: For putting in the most time and work into helping me, and being good-humored throughout the whole thing

Eugene: For letting me use your computer for the past couple weeks, and for your brilliant insight that made me feel like an idiot

Andy: For lending me your power supply, and because darn it, you are just too good-looking

Kwan: For also lending me your computer chip, and because darn it, you are too cute

John: For letting me make a bootup disk on your computer, and because darn it, you are too buff

Paul: For nothing. hahahah just kidding. For driving me to Best Buy, lending me your computer chip, letting me use your computer, and making fun of my broken car.

I woke up at 4am last night because the wind was howling outside. And there's still 20 mph winds outside right now. Exciting!

After FiCB, I drove my half-broken car (which luckily didn't break down completely) to Union City to visit my aunt and two little cousins. They just came from korea last week, and they were on a tour bus with a bunch of other korean tourists. Today, the tour stop destination was the bay area and were spending the night at a Hilton in Union City. It was so great seeing them again. The last time was eleven years ago when I first went to korea and saw them. I remember that during that trip, they said I looked like seo tae ji.

My guy cousin is now eleven, and the girl cousin is twelve. Gosh, I remember when they were little babies.. I felt so good to know that they've grown up so much and that they're doing well. Me and my aunt carried a great conversation in full korean for about an hour and a half. It was by the miracle of God that enabled me to sufficiently communicate with my aunt for that long. Doesn't matter that I attended korean school for over a decade.. geez, I still can't say the entire alphabet in correct order. Anyways, I was really sad when I left, because I probably won't see them for another ten years. I'll probably be married by then and still be driving around my '93 corolla. I have much to be thankful for.

Happy birthday Basile (20) and Jenny Myung (21)!
