My first-round NBA playoff predictions:

-------=============================-------
-=WEST=-

Timberwolves (1) vs. Nuggets (8): The three-headed monster is hungry for a championship and they're gonna win it in five.

Lakers (2) vs. Rockets (7): I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Lakers in five. They won two games apiece during the regular season, but everyone knows the Lakers get down to business in the postseason. Yao is getting better, but he'll never take a hold of MDE (Most Dominant Ever). I didn't make that up, Shaq did.

Spurs (3) vs. Grizzlies (6): Spurs in four. Duncan is just gonna shoot those lame top-of-the-key jumpers all the time.

Kings (4) vs. Mavericks (5): I prefer it that the Queens lose, but they'll probably win in six. Despite Sac's recent shooting woes and poor defense, they're still better than the Mavs in both those areas. C-Webb will probably come around and so will Peja's three's. Actually, I don't mind if they win. They could have the privilege of prancing into the next round where they'll be crushed by LA.

WESTERN CONFERENCE WINNER: Los Angeles Lakers

-------=============================-------

-=EAST=-

Pacers (1) vs. Celtics (8): Pacers sweep in four. Celtics suck.

Nets (2) vs. Knicks (7): This should be a fun and competitive series. Who'll own New York? Nets in seven, hoping Kidd stays healthy.

Pistons (3) vs. Bucks (6): Pistons sweep in four. Their defense has been amazing late this season, and that trend will carry into the playoffs.

Heat (4) vs. Hornets (5): No Mash. Odom and Butler playing at their peak. Heat in five.

EASTERN CONFERENCE WINNER
: who cares
