Tonight, I fell in love with a guy named Ed. He made a heart out of steak cubes. <3

I swear, the weekend just comes and goes without any warning. Some pictures of my mom's brother's family from Korea.

Some of the young'uns. Little Deborah is crying because her mom just told her that she has to go home and finish a school project instead of going out with us for dinner.

Cheer up Deborah. Rose Sunset.

If I had giant hands, I'd be all over this beauty.

Waiting to see the dentist took longer than the time it took to pull out my wisdom tooth. Using a wicked-looking set of pliers, she pulled out my top wisdom tooth with one effortless tug (the other one's still premature). Because she was "concerned about infection," my bottom wisdom teeth weren't pulled today and will need to be extracted in separate sessions. Can you say crap. I was going to take a picture of my tooth, but it looks too gross. It's rotting and cavity-infested.. the sad result of my toothbrush being unable to reach that far into my mouth. Once my other teeth are out, maybe I'll make a necklace out of it or something.

My mom's younger brother from Korea and his family recently came and are staying with us until Sunday. It's nice to have the house full of people. And for the opportunity to practice my broken Korean. They seem to understand what I'm saying so I must be doing something right. o_O
Taking out my wisdom teeth in an hour. I'm so scurred.

Sometimes, love alone is not enough to hold us up.

Kobe Bryant is not of this world. Was there a lunar eclipse or some weird celestial activity happening tonight? I don't think I could even score 81 points with one player in a friggin video game. It reminds of the days when my college roomie Eug and I would play NBA 2k2 on the Dreamcast, and I would drop 50, 60-some points with Jordan... and still lose.

Apparently, this historical news took backseat to a certain TV fanatic/psycho who was more excited about other ridiculous things. John, please take your girl to a basketball game.

me: did you hear
kathy: YES
kathy: FRIENDS
kathy: OMG!!
me: ...
me: no
me: kobe scored 81 points tonight
me: 81!!!!!!!!!!!!!
kathy: oh...
kathy: BUT FRIENDS
kathy: is coming back on TV!!!!
me: ...
me: 81 points
me: second highest point total in history
kathy: friends
me: NBA history
kathy: 4 more one hour episodes
me: ...

And I bet at least half of you who just learned that Friends is coming back got really excited too. What's the big deal? Is it really that good??

Blast from the Past - 2001

Eugene Shin, Andy Chon, Paul Hwang, Billy Ku and Roy Chung show off their "multi-culturalistic skills" at the annual Putting On The Christian Hits (POTCH) event held in UC Berkeley, California.

Some recent events. Note to self: find out what's causing my camera to take these dang blurry pictures

Nothing's more exhilerating than being at the beach in the middle of the night during a huge storm..while listening to AM radio. John, Steve and Joe on the last day of the EM retreat.

I was so happy they had foosball tables at the retreat site! Emerie having her first (or second?) bowl of cereal.

Good night LA

So Artest is in attendance at tonight's Laker game vs. Cleveland. I don't want to read too much into it, but I hope it's a step towards the right direction where we'll see Ron in a Laker's jersey real soon...I hope!
I like pictures. DFC's winter banquet.

Last person who I'd ever expect to wear a jacket, vest AND tie. Dickee is currently in Spain as the only guy amongst thirty girls from his class.

NBA Street whores. Oh-ee and Simon.

Sydney in a great mood. Little munchkins doing body worship in grass skirts.

I can't convince this girl that Snoopy isn't Charlie Brown. Jenny & Daniel. I like the matching colors. What can Brown do for you?

I love the fact that I could just leave my bedsheets hanging and chuck my used towels onto the floor, then come back a couple hours later and find everything back to the way it was. Hotels are like magic.

So what do I do for a living? I work at a Laserfiche, a software development company in Long Beach as a presales engineer. I guess my title isn't as self-explanatory as "financial planner" or "web designer." "Presales engineer? What the heck is that?" No, I don't write computer programs or take part in developing software. Those guys are hidden in the deep, mysterious rooms on the second floor of our building. Who knows what goes on in there, except for one time I went down during lunch and everyone was playing Half-Life against each other, hahah.

Instead, the things I do things that generally consist of training and consulting our internal sales team and reseller channel. That basically encompasses giving web presentations, writing up training material, replying to sales proposals, answering technical questions, and engineering custom demos. Yes, I'm pulling this out of my ass. But I like it because I get to work at my own pace and work with people first-hand. Plus the view from my desk is really nice.. the sunsets are just amazing.

So if you're in college and kinda unsure of the major you've chosen (I studied psychology and minored in business), don't worry because it won't always dictate what you're going to do in the future.

I'll be here the next four days for our annual conference. Should be nice to see a part of LA I've never seen before! Plus I know of some great soondubu places nearby. Woo hoo!
Made me smile to find a penny heads-up in my room this morning.

Nothing starts off the new year like driving in the soothing rain.
